The Swap N Bop was hosted by the Continental Club. A few bands played, but my favorite was the opening act, The El Orbits. I made Holly come to try to sell her amazing glitzed-up embellished accessories. I only sold one item, and Holly only sold one bracelet (to me), but I know better than to be discouraged by that. I know from past experience that sometimes shows will be like that; just bad. You don’t stop because of that. There were more vendors than customers. I heard that the show coordinators were unable to obtain permits to allow us to set up on the sidewalks, so we ended up behind the club with little foot traffic. I try to keep a positive attitude because one can never tell which shows will be profitable. At this point, the will to keep doing this is more important than the results of individual shows.
